Flavored Syrups

Three gallon (11.35 liters) and five gallon (18.93 liters) Bag-In-Box containers are used at “Post Mix Dispensers”. These are beverage dispensers, which mix the syrups and water with CO2 in order to produce and serve a finished drink in food service establishments. Some equipment uses metal 5-gallon transfer tanks. These tanks are filled by the local distributors either from 55-gallon (208 liters) drums or by pouring the contents of gallon jugs into the container. Other outlets may have equipment that uses single gallons in their dispensing process.

Distributors for this product are companies who sell CO2 gas (which is used to carbonate the beverages) and sell or lease post mix beverage dispensers and other equipment for serving soda drinks. In the U.S. these distributors are generally:

  • Beer distributors who sell keg beer and install equipment to dispense beer.
  • Bar distributors who lease and/or sell beverage dispensing equipment or beer equipment and supply various syrups on an ongoing basis.
  • Coffee distributors who sell or lease equipment.

Retail outlets, which use these products, include food service establishments:
  • Restaurants
  • Bars
  • Fast food outlets
  • Sports arenas
  • Amusement Parks
  • Hospitals
  • Prisons
  • Schools
